It is World Sleep Day Today!


We all know how important it is to get a good night's sleep; so to help you achieve this, here are my top suggestions for a good night's rest:


Aim to go to bed at the same time every night – set an alarm if you need reminding when to start your wind-down


Have a bedtime drink such as chamomile tea or a caffeine free hot drink


Take 5-minutes and jot down your to-do list for the next day


Try some light yoga stretches, box breathing and a guided meditation


Take a warm bath - add a relaxing lavender bath soak or bath bomb to your bath


Listen to your favourite music

Read a book


Prepare your bedroom. Dim the lights, close the blackout curtains and make sure your bedroom is not too hot. Diffuse your favourite essential oil blend in an aromatherapy diffuser.


Finally, get into bed, head on pillow, eyes closed – lekker slaap!
